About Altec Lansing
Altec Lansing traces its roots to the 1927 All Technical Service Company, the service arm of Western Electric's cinema-audio division, and to the Lansing Manufacturing Company founded by James B. Lansing. The combined company equipped most American movie theaters through the mid-20th century. Today the brand concentrates on consumer portable audio — waterproof Bluetooth speakers, true-wireless earbuds, and party-sized sound systems — sold at mass retail. Samsonic carries the current consumer line.
