About Motorola
Motorola was founded in 1928 as the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation and took the Motorola name in 1947. Its portable two-way radios became the standard for public safety, industrial, and recreational use through the second half of the 20th century. The company split in 2011; Samsonic carries consumer products — Talkabout two-way radios, baby monitors, DECT cordless phones, and Bluetooth audio — produced under license from Motorola Solutions or Motorola Mobility by category partners.
