About Oster
John Oster founded the company in 1924 in Racine, Wisconsin, originally making hair-clipping machines for barbers; the Osterizer blender debuted in 1946 and became a mid-century American kitchen standard. The brand today is owned by Newell Brands and covers blenders, countertop ovens, slow cookers, and the Oster professional clipper line still used in barbershops. Samsonic carries the retail Oster catalog.
