About Wahl
Leo J. Wahl patented an electromagnetic hair clipper in 1919 and founded the Wahl Manufacturing Company in Sterling, Illinois the same year. The company is still headquartered there and still family-owned — an unusual profile in the personal-care aisle. The line covers professional barber clippers and trimmers, consumer home-haircutting kits, beard trimmers, and the massagers that carry the Wahl name at retail.
